OpenAMR

Description:

We design, develop, and promote open source software libraries, drivers, and applications that enable interfacing with smart meters, wireless AMR-enabled meters, and other energy consumption monitoring devices. We include electricity, natural gas, and water meters within our scope. We believe that energy usage information should not be hidden from those to whom it pertains. By exploiting existing public domain technologies, reverse-engineering commercial products, and participating in smart grid standards development, we ensure that open source implementations of non-patented metering protocols get into the hands of those who would use this information to give consumers and businesses access to the energy information they need in order to reduce energy consumption, save money, and make informed energy choices.

Open ZB
